The Autumn Sale dedicated to Asian Art will offer carefully selected objects of various types, all very interesting and of taste.

Amongst the 175 lots presented in the catalogue, a terracotta yixing teapot with lid, made by one of the greatest craftsmen of the 19th century, Shao Daheng, descended from a family of terracotta artists active in the Jiaqing/Daoguang period (1796-1850), estimated 18,000 - 20.000 €

Particularly worthy of note is the elongated octagonal craquelé vase with mark Daoguang of the period 1821-1850 estimated 30,000 - 40,000 €. A similar lot was sold by Christie's New York in the Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of art sale, including property from the Arthur M. Sackler Collections.

A small white jade vase dated to the 18th century, carved and pierced with archaic motifs of taotie masks and a dragon coiled to the neck estimated 20,000 - 25,000 €, and a pair of Famille Rose porcelain dishes decorated with an interior scene depicting anelegant lady and children dating from the 18th century.

As far as Japanese art is concerned, there is a silk screen embroidered with floral decorations of the late 19th century and a scroll consisting of twelve erotic-themed prints from the Meiji period (1868-1912).

Collectors will be able to find jades, corals, paintings, porcelain, decorative porcelain plaquesdating back to the period of the Chinese Republic (1912-1949), and much more to satisfy the taste of an increasingly international market.
