A pair of blue and white ‘trigram and crane’ bowls, each decorated with cranes in flight alternating with ruyi-clouds, divided by the eight trigrams, above upright rocks battered by waves encircling the foot, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a floret wreathed by tempestuous waves, all within a diapered band encircling the interior rim, the base inscribed with a six-character seal mark (flaws) China, Daoguang mark and of the period (1820-1850) Provenance: a Milanese private collection.
