A fine copy in mint condition bound by Belz-Niedrée for the Prince of Essling. 4to (281 x 215mm). Woodcut device on title and headpieces, engraved map of ancient Rome and 40 plates by Gravelot, Eisen, de Blomey and St. Aubin; the plates are bound at end, a copy sold in the past is described with an engraved frontispiece but this does not appear in the BNF copy and the description matches that of plate 1. Red morocco gilt by Belz-Niedrée with arms of the Prince of Essling. Provenance: Prince of Essling (arms on binding).
