The fine copy of René Char of this very rare first edition in mint condition; printed on coloured paper and initialed and annotated by René Char "chez Docteur Zara" (probably at the residence of Tristan Tzara, 1896-1963) on 30.11.1972. Copy n. 295 from an edition of 300, bound by De Vauchelle. In his annotations René Char assigns some of the various poems to each of the authors using their initials (B,C,E); only in one instance the poetical composition is attributed to both Eluard and Char himself: "Sera comme une pluie d'éclipse". 8vo (277 x 184mm).
