LIVIO, Tito (59a.c.-17) - Deche di Tito Livio vulgare hystoriate tradotte da Leonardo Bruni. Venice: Bartolomeo de Zanni de Portesio [per Luc'Antonio Giunta], 1511. A fine edition of this work finely illustrated with blocks originally cut for the 1493 edition by Rosso for Giunta, and used again in 1502 and here. Red morocco by Leichton Brewer St. W. Folio (306 x 212mm). Title in red and black with printer's device and large woodcut, at the opening of the three Decade a full-page border and large illustration, numeours smaller woodcuts in text and initials, with final blank (there are some small wormtracks at the inner margin of ca. 40 leaves which cause some small loss, light occasional soiling and browning). Fine red marocco by Leichton Brers St. W. decorated in blind and gilt on panels, spine and edges. Provenance: Arthur Lauria (Parisian bookseller's ticket).
