The book is also an important testimony of Antonio Galli Bibiena and his personal work in Pavia which is otherwise difficult to distinguish from the one of the other members of the family (Luisa Giordano, il teatro dei quattro cavalieri e la presenza di Antonio Galli Bibiena a Pavia). Fine engraved frontispiece, dedication to Ferdinando of Austria, woodcut head-and-tail piece and initial, 3 magnificent double-page engraved plates with the plan, the facade and the project of the theatre (few minor stains). Contemporary marbled paper (corners of front panel repaired).
