[NAPOLEONE] - APPIANI, Andrea (1754-1817) - [I fasti di Napoleone]. [1811]. A beautiful and complete collection with good impressions of the 35 plates engraved by Giuseppe Rosaspina, Giuseppe Longhi, Giuseppe Benaglia and Michele Bisi from the famous "Fasti Napoleonici" painted by Appiani for the decoration of "Sala delle Cariatidi " of Palazzo Reale in Milan and that were lost during the Second World War. The work was commissioned in 1811 for the extraordinary remuneration of 91,620.66 Italian lire. The "Fasti" start with the Battle of Montenotte (1796) and end with the medals for Napoleon's victories in Germany (Austerlitz 1805, Eylau 1806 and Friedland 1807). Oblong folio (420 x 740mm). 35 plates (marginal spotting).
