PLINIO, Gaio Cecilio Secondo (62-114 d.C) - Epistolarum libri 10. Lyon: A. Blanchard, 1527. The Letters of Pliny the Younger are an important testimony of the daily, cultural and political life of the Roman Empire at the dawn of the 2nd century. 8vo (155 x 108mm). Title in red and black with large printer's device, repeated on final leaf, woodcut initials, one of which historiated, with final blank (light soiling and staining). Later vellum in antique style with manuscript title (light staining and restorations, without ties, modern endpapers); preserved in a modern decorated paper case.
