The Sior Antonio Rioba, like the contemporaries "Pasquino" and "Uomo di Pietra" of Rome and Milan, takes its name from a "talking" statue still present in Campo dei Mori and it was the most renown caricature newspaper of the short republican period. 8vo (240 x 150mm). 152 issues (from no. 1 of 13 July 1848 to no. 152 of 28 December 1848) numerous humorous cartoons in text (browning).
