A copy with good margins of this early 16th-century edition which includes some of the most important texts by Lactantius together with Tertullian, such as the Divine Institutiones, the De Ira Dei, the De Opificio Dei, and in particular sull'uomo e sull'anima, l'Expositio Jo[anni] Chry[sostomi] together with the Apologetico of Tertullian. 2 parts in one volume, folio (302 x 206mm). Title with printer's device and within border depicting John the Baptist, precious historiated woodcut initials, A1 printed in red and black with large initial in red (illegible stamp on title, some soiling and dampstainig to the preliminary and final leaves, text in good condition). Modern antique-style vellum part of the ties, manuscript title on spine and written earlier on the fore-edges; preserved in a modern decorated paper case.
