A work by Ottone and Acerbo Morena considered among the first chroniclers and remembered for having narrated the Italian events of the 12th-century from a Lombard point of view. The chronicle of Lodi is of particular interest for the descriptions of the characters of the time including that of Federico Barbarossa and is considered the main source for the Lombard history of that time. 4to (225 x 160mm). Woodcut arms on title, headpices and initials (gathering R browned, some soiling). Contemporary speckled calf, spine decorated in gilt, red speckled edges (some scuffing and wormholes).
