Fascinating collection of 86 engravings of mythological subject on laid paper. Oblong 4to (231 x 333mm). 86 engravings on 82 sheets: 31 (lacking plate 9 and without the title-page as in the copy digitez in SBN) from Amore and Psiche tale, 39 (lacking plate 7 from book II) from Ovid's Metamorphoses, respectively with Italian and Latin captions, other 16 different engravings including 5 by Polidoro da Caravaggio (spotting, staining, tears on some sheets, 3 engravings cropped and stucked on sheet, leaf 25 with right superior margin restored). 19th century calf, gold decoration on the spine, red edges (rubbed, tears on back panel). Sold as a collection of plates and not subject to return. Provenance: manuscript annotation (XIX century?) in brown ink on first anterior flyleaf, about the wrong collocation of some plates; below a note of another hand "30th" in ochre ink; pencil sketches on flyleaves leaves II-IV (recto and verso).
