An elegant and lavishly decorated prayer book bound in a sumptuous silver and velvet binding from the beginning of the XVIII century, richly decorated on the panel. Folio (308 x 240mm). Title and text on 2 columns printed in red and black, vignette on title, woodcut initials, 3 engraved plates on **10, N1, N6 by Suor Isabella Piccini (N1 and N2 reinforced, spotting, foxing, some traces of wax). Richly decorated red velvet and silver binding, with cherubim at corners, the representation of the Immaculate Conception on the front panel and of a bishop with pastern on the rear panel, gilt and pierced edges, 5 silk bookmarks. On the front panel: BB [console Giovan Battista Buonacquisto] NAP [Regno di Napoli], [1]704. Silversmith Nicola Treglia (defects, velvet worn, spine slightly low-cut, joint hinges probably recent). Provenance: (belonging to:) [Family Marzano] "SORE ANNELLA MARZANO" on the front panel and a heraldic shield with cross surmounted by a helmet engraved.
