[CHIESA (1602-1666)] - Manoscritto cartaceo intitolato "Capitolo Fratesco Poema del Padre Tisabesano Secchia Sevigita da Gerigo Accademico Lepido". Secolo XVII-XVIII.   A version in folio format of this renown and curious comic opera in octave rhyme which has remained unpublished, but was known through a series of manuscript copies. It is an erotic-burlesque poem on cloistered life that was immediately considered scandalous and therefore put on the index never reaching publication. There are some known manuscripts written between the late 1600s and early 1700s usually of a smaller format: it seems that the author, before dying, had entrusted the manuscript in the hands of a friend who had some copies transcribed. There are versions of 14 or 16 cantos: this copy is complete with 16 cantos.   Folio (300 x 210mm). Manuscript on paper, 275 leaves and 550 pages. Contemporary vellum with an ink design just visible on front cover (slight staining); preserved in a modern brown case.
