A fascinating copy with wide margins and on strong paper that contains two incunabole works on criminal procedure printed in Venice in 1491 and annotated by a contemporary hand. The first work is unfortunately incomplete and it contains a treatise already printed in 1472. The second work is on the other hand complete and it is the first edition by the Italian jurist and judge Gandino who dealt with criminal law. Gambiglioni's work is remembered as "the most popular and widespread treatment of criminal law and procedure" (Treccani).   2 works in one volume, folio (420 x 280mm). First work beginning with B2 (lacking A1-B1 including title); second work with title (generally some staining and browning, foxing, creasing and some light tears). Remainings of a contemporary binding in wooden boards (missing half of the front cover and spine, worn). Provenance: fascinating contemporary annotations.
