Lyon: Guillaume Rouille, 1550.   An incomplete copy of this fine mannerist book of hours decorated with woodcut engravings and frames most signed by Pierre Eskrich as "PV" (Pierre Vase).   8vo (181 x 120mm). Title within elaborate woodcut border, 12 (of 14) full-page figures, text printed in red and black and also within elaborate woodcut border. (lacking b1, l4-l5, p1-p2, slightly browned, some staining, occasional ancient reinforcements at the outer margin that do not affect thet text, tear at the upper outer margin on y7 and r7 with loss of part of the border). 18th- 19th-century black morocco over wooden boards and brass clasps (some defects).
