OMERO - Iliad. Louvain: Bartolomaeo Gravio, 1535.   A fascinating edition of the Iliad in Greek with contemporary Greek annotations. In the same year a folio edition was printed in Basel and the present edition is sometimes also bound with the Odyssey.   8vo (234 x 150mm). Text in Greek (some of the leaves at the beginning remarginated, but with some contemporary annotations above the enlarged margin, some wormtracks mainly in the first and final leaves, occasional browning, some spotting and occasional staining, without the Odyssey sometimes bound together). Contemporary limp vellum, stitching which reuses an antique vellum manuscript, later paper label on spine, red edges (worming, staining and wear). Provenance: ownership inscription in Greek on title and early annotations.
