Olschki, 1912.   A limited edition of 306 copies of which this is n. 83. There are various versions of the binding and this is one of the most monumental and valuable. The printing is done on specially hand watermarked paper by Miliani of Fabriano. "A monumental edition dedicated to the King of Italy in the fiftieth anniversary of the Kingdom" (Mambelli).   Folio (407 x 298mm). Title printed in red and black with printer's device, dedication to Vittorio Emanuele III, introduction by D'Annunzio, text within an elegant woodcut border, with the iconographic apparatus of the 1491 edition. Antique-style editorial binding in leather with rich decorations in blind, metal corner and center pieces with portrait of Dante on front cover, uncut (some wear to joints and light scratches, without clasps).
