Croce, e dello Spirito Santo - Rome: Stamperia pontificia vaticana, 1742.   A remarkable baroque binding richly decorated with floral motifs and beautiful edges in which the nature of the Blessed Virgin is portraied among the ornamental motifs.   8vo (205 x 125mm). Engraved frontspiece, engraved vignette on title, many full-page engraved illustrations, engraved initials, text printed in red and black (many wormtraces, touching text in the first gathering and some other leaves, light browning and spotting). Contemporary calf with rich gilt and coloured decorations, gilt title on spine, gilt and painted edges, gilt metal clasps (wormtraces, small loss to bottom corner of front cover, some wear to joints and extremities). The work is sold as a binding and is not subject to return as we weren't able to find a collation.
