Parigi: Desfossés-Néogravure, 1942.   An interesting lot of elegant bindings, which includes the first edition of "Le vingtième siècle" by the brilliant writer and illustrator Albert Robida: his images focus on electricity and the great technological innovations of the time. Thanks to his imagination, the illustrator comes to anticipate later inventions such as the telephone and the tape recorder. The romantic and at times erotic watercolours in "Manon Lescaut" were made by the Italian painter and set designer Umberto Brunelleschi and show his attention and care for the costumes of the time.
