It contains the first print of Leonardo's treatise on painting, "Discorso intorno al disegno" [pp.144-152]. The books cover all aspects of perspective, including: anamorphosis, light and shadow and the darkroom.   Folio (292 x 205mm). Medici coat of arms on title and large printer's device at the end, X1 with two full page illustrations at recto and verso, numerous other woodcut illustrations, initials and headpieces (some staining and foxing, occasional browning, some leaves with marginal reinforcements or small repaired tears).
