GELLIO, Aulio (130-180) - Noctium Atticarum libri Vudeuiginti. Paris: Pierre Gromors, 1526.   A Parisian edition from the first half of the 16th century of the commentary by Josse Bade and Gilles De Maizieres on the Attic nights of Aulo Gellio. The same printer also published a near-identical edition in 1524.   Folio (278 x 200mm). Title in red and black within an elaborate woodcut border with central printer's device, woodcut initials (extremities of title with light wear, occasional browning and foxing, some dampstaining, small wormtrack to final leaves). Later vellum, title on red label on spine (some staining, later endpapers). Provenance: Stefano Malifantius (ownership inscription on title) - some other early ownership inscriptions - César Martin (booklabel).
