Milan: Bordone; Locarni, 1608.   A collection of two Milanese editions dedicated to the celebrations of the birth of Philip IV of Spain including the first edition in Italian of the rare report, attributed to Cervantes, of the celebrations held in Valladolid for the birth of the heir to the throne whose first edition was released in 1605. The first work describes in detail the celebrations held in Milan with the details of the ephemeral architectures created, the parties, the speeches and the representations. An interesting testimony of Spanish Milan and its links with the Habsburg crown.   2 works in one volume, 4to (205 x 143mm). Arms of Milan on the verso of title of the first work and printer's device on title of the second, woodcut initials and headpieces (occasional foxing and some occasional light browning). Contemporary boards backed in paper with later manuscript title (some staining and wear).
