ALBANIS DE BEAUMONT, Jean Francois (ca 1755-1812) - Travels through the Rhaetian Alps in the year MDCCLXXXVI from Italy to Germany. London: per l'autore da C. Clarke, 1792.   Splendid luxury copy with double set of plates (for a total of 20), the first set hand coloured at the time and the second printed in aquatint.   Folio (530 x 370mm). Large engraved map, 10 splendid plates each repeated twice for a total of 20 plates, the first hand-colored at the time and the others printed in aquatint; the tables are by C. Apostool by Hans Heinrich Meyer and Albanis de Beaumont; watermarked J.W. Hatman (occasional light spotting and some soiling). Contemporary calf with gilt decorations, larbled endpapers (rebacked with restored corners). Provenance: Il Polifilo (bookseller's ticket).
