Discovery&Tech – The new department at Il Ponte Casa d’Aste dedicated to technological, scientific, and industrial objects
Discovery&Tech is the new department at Il Ponte Casa d’Aste, created in collaboration with Millon Auction Group, specialising in the appraisal, promotion, and auction of technological, scientific, and industrial objects. This initiative responds to the growing interest in innovative collecting, where history, ingenuity, and design come together.
Led by Stefania Pandakovic, already head of the Books and Manuscripts Department, the project broadens the scope of collecting to include prototypes, electronic instruments, radios, telephones, typewriters, vintage computers, and industrial patents – objects that symbolise technical and cultural progress.
The department highlights the technological and scientific heritage of the 20th and 21st centuries, offering a point of reference for collectors, museums, foundations, research institutes, and enthusiasts of industrial archaeology.
