PENONE, Giuseppe (n.1947) - Svolgere la propria pelle. Turin: Editarte, 1970-71.   A fine copy of this book by Penone, one of the major representatives of Arte Povera together with Michelangelo Pistoletto and Giovanni Anselmo. In the work created in 1970-71, from which this book was then produced, the artist photographed a small glass pressed against different parts of his body until he recorded his entire anatomy; the body fragments (more than a hundred) were then reassembled into a grid of tiny projections that map his personal landscape.   4to (217 x 210mm).
