Elephant folio (565 x 435mm). 20 numbered plates and one unnumbered with the overall view of Paris, title within decorated cartouche at plates 18 and 19 which form a single view, detected, defined and written by Louis Bretez and imprinted by Claude Lucas (some creases and soiling, 2 of which in ink are more evident on the verso of pl. 7 and 10, some spotting and browning, pl. 13, 18-19 are more browned, some tear along the fold lines of the pl. 18-19). Contemporary marbled cloth, with gilt decoration on the edges, board edge, gilt arms of Paris (lightly rubbed, especially at the edges and at the corners, along the hinge with spine chipped).
