The glamorous touch of the Vintage Fashion selection sale held on 14 October 2022 concludes the four day auction sessions at Il Ponte Casa d’Aste.


88% of lots sold and a 210% revaluation on reserve prices testify to a significant competition to win the exclusive wardrobe belonging to a Piedmontese noblewoman, magnified by the creations of two great masters of the Italian haute couture: Valentino, who stands out with the beautiful long evening dress embellished on the shoulders with numerous layers of pink taffetas ruches (lot 1080, sold € 4,375) and Roberto Capucci, celebrated with numerous dresses, including the floral organza and chiffon dress in shades of blue (lot 1056, sold € 2,750).

A silk crêpe evening gown with a pleated skirt and a plain bodice with various layers of pink plissé taffeta ruffles.

Lot 1056 Roberto Capucci Alta Moda
An organza and chiffon floral ball dress in the shades of cobalt-blue,

Highlighted above all is the section dedicated to leather items which include the top lots of the auction: the Kelly by Hermés from the 1970s (lot 1046, sold € 7,500), followed by the "limited edition" Bambù by Gucci (lot 1053, sold € 3,500).

The presence of the private collection of Alba Figueras de la Parte, made the event even more special, with unique pieces by the designer Gianfranco Ferré which had tread the most important catwalks around the globe including the elegant coat in various shades of gray worked with cutouts and embroidered with paisley designs presented at the Haute couture fashion show of 1988 (lot 1007, sold € 2,000). Chanel also stands out, with a double-breasted jacket entirely embroidered in sequins (lot 1028, sold € 1,375) and a Cambon necklace with logoed medallions (lot 1033, sold € 1,062.50).

The garment was presented in the Haute Couture Fall / Winter 1988 show.
