The Autumn Auction dedicated to the Antiques, held from 28 to 31 October 2025, concluded with € 2.3 million in sales, an average of 80% sell-through rate, and a 177% increase on starting prices—confirming its position as a key event in the sector’s calendar.
From objets de vertu to Old Master paintings, from furnishings to silverware, six auction sessions recreated the atmosphere of a modern “Wunderkammer”, engaging collectors and enthusiasts alike with works designed to surprise and captivate the eye.
Among the highlights were objects combining refined goldsmithing and decorative mastery, including three rare French gold and polychrome enamel snuff boxes from the 17th and 18th centuries by celebrated master goldsmiths Gabriel-Raoul Morel (lot 44, € 42,240), Barthélémy Pilleux (lot 46, € 25,600), and Jean-François Delanoy (lot 72, € 25,600). Equally prized for the quality of their materials and the finesse of their workmanship were the small Neapolitan piqué and gold mirror from the workshop of Gennaro Sarao (lot 49, € 28,160) and the 17th-century Trapani frame in coral and gilt copper (lot 82, € 23,040).

In the painting section, three 17th-century works stood out among the most hotly contested: “Erminia among the shepherds” by the Genoese master Orazio De Ferrari (lot 77, € 38,400), “Flight into Egypt” from the Bolognese School (lot 471, € 35,840), and “Composition with fruit basket”, signed “P.B.”, by a Roman master (lot 284, € 30,720). The 18th century was represented by Francesco Guardi’s vibrant “Capriccio with arch, characters and classical temple” (lot 60, € 21,760) and Andrea Appiani’s drawing “Rinaldo and Armida” (lot 33, € 21,760).
